Frequently asked questions

How do I choose lenses for my glasses?
To choose lenses for your glasses, you will need to know some information about the slimness you will be asked to choose, your interstitial distance and the options available in companies and coatings.

Slimness: To choose the slimness you need you will need to calculate the sum of your degrees.
E.g. if you have -2.0 degrees of myopia and -1.0 degrees of astigmatism, the sum of your degrees is -3.0. In this case you will choose a lens with the 1st stage of thinning.

What is the pupillary distance (PD) and how to measure it
Pupillary distance (PD): If your pupillary distance is not indicated on the prescription, you can measure it yourself with the help of a ruler. You will need to stand in front of a mirror, look straight ahead and measure the distance from the center of one pupil to the center of the other (see picture). Then record the distance in mm.

*It is noted that the preferred option is the measurement of your cortex by a specialist, to ensure a correct result.

How do I fill out my prescription?
In front of your grade you will notice that there is a sign (- or +). (-) is used in myopia, while (+) in hyperopia and presbyopia. If you also have astigmatism, you should be careful to fill in exactly the sign that your prescription says in front of the degree of astigmatism, as well as the degrees (Axis – Ax).
How to choose the degree of thinning?
There are 5 types of thinning. To select the appropriate stage for your grades, consult the following table:

Thinning stage Degree Total Thinning percentage
1.5 – Standard Up to 2.0 0%
1.56 From 2.25 to 3.50 15% compared to 1.5
1.6 From 3.75 and over 20% compared to 1.5
1.67 From 4.0 and over 30% compared to 1.5
1.74 From 4.50 Max
What does the blue light filter offer?

Every day we use digital devices that emit a large amount of blue light, both during the day and at night. The constant watching of the screen, tends to tire and irritate our eyes. This is referred to as “Computer Vision Syndrome”.
If you sometimes notice at the end of the day that your eyes are dry and red, have a slight headache or even sleep disturbances, then you will definitely benefit from choosing this filter.

Advantages of using a special filter for blue light:
-Relaxes your eyes, giving the feeling of more energy and less irritation

-Improve your sleep cycle, your circadian rhythm, but also your mood

-It works preventively to protect against various eye diseases caused by increased exposure to UV radiation, such as retinal damage.

*Caution: Do not choose lenses of dubious quality from uncertified stores. The placement of the lenses for the blue light in your glasses must necessarily be done by a specialized optician who can guarantee their suitability and effectiveness.

Can I order multifocal lenses online without going to a physical store?
To place multifocal lenses on a frame of vision requires specialized measurements that require your physical presence. In no case can multifocal lenses be safely placed on the frame of your choice by ordering online.
